There is nothing like it and few words to describe it. I feel peace when I play tickle bunnies with my daughters. In the US we believe every man has a right to pursue happiness, but often we overlook the peace in the pursuit. Happiness isn’t a destination it’s a journey. Peace is a verb, a state of being. The human mind can’t fully comprehend it. Peace can be experienced with simple acts such as baking cookies, having a glass of wine in solitude or laughing with a friend. Peace is everywhere. It is accessible, ready and available to all who desire it. Peace can be with anyone no matter your ethnicity, sex, age, culture or class. Peace is greater than pleasure. It is not tied to a certain action, person, place or thing. I witness peace when my eyes lay hold of the sunrise. I hear peace when I hear birds chirping early in the morning. I feel it when I jump waves in the ocean, or when I smile at someone. I experience peace when I share my time, money, talent & joy. I see potential peace in every moment. There’s peace in reflecting, peace in love, peace in breathing, peace in thinking and peace in accepting. Peace is so rewarding. It’s filling and lovely. It deserves to be held. Peace. There is nothing like it and few words to describe it.
